The question I am often asked is about our personnel, their job satisfaction and how what work they do for us so I feel it’s important to share our mission and the culture of Carson. If you’re interested about our staff, their perks and how working for Carson would be please read on.

The myCarson Mission

Value: We value our employees so much so they are considered partners in everything we do. We don’t have employees, we have partnerships with individuals which we hope are mutual beneficial over a prolonged period of time. We hope this continues past their careers with Carson where they actively wish to continue a working relationship together.

Commitment: We have committed to pay all our staff at least 20% above the average wage, even for positions which would not historically be considered ‘skilled’, because we are passionate about our people and believe it is the right thing to do. We don’t believe money is the key that opens the door to happiness but it obviously helps get you to the door.

Education: We educate our staff, literally every day. We have eradicated continued professional development and replaced it with personal development. That’s not talking about education related to their job, instead, we allow each individual to be the masters of their own destiny. For one hour every single day we encourage, and crucially pay, our staff to learn whatever it is they want to improve on. Spanish, computer programming or financial management, whatever it is they want to learn we provide the resources to allow them to do so.

We believe that recognises the importance of our people at the heart of our business. We hope that it, in turn, ensures wow customer service and that our partners love the jobs they do. We don’t just seek to be a job, we seek to establish a culture where your life is enriched by your work. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and enabling them to progress in their lives enriches our entire business.

We practice the adage of bestowing the skills upon our staff so that they could leave hoping that job satisfaction, work life balance, opportunities, education and happiness they make them want to stay. Looking to the future we hope that the education leads to entrepreneurs who branch off on their own and whom we can form mutually beneficial strategic partnerships with because they still want to be involved with us.

Job Satisfaction: We actively aim to ensure our partners actually want to be here. We practice ‘the offer’ where if after completion of training you do not want to continue we’ll pay you a £500 and your first months pay as thanks for your honesty that the job isn’t for you. Furthermore, we make the same offer at bi-yearly intervals to all our staff in order to give people the chance to move on and utilise the skills they have learned elsewhere. The only kicker being that if you choose to accept, you won’t be able to work for Carson again in the future.

Training: We fanatically train our staff in the hope that customer satisfaction will come as a by-product. The best companies hire for attitude and train for skill. Every day a computer randomly generates the names of two to four partners in a specific office to be tested in one element of their work. They then take a quick test on a specific task, see whether they pass, and if they don’t they get retrained for that job before they can do it again. This is all done autonomously over the platform with a video for retraining immediately available if failed. This ensures everyone is comfortable in undertaking the tasks they are required and they never feel isolated.

Work-life balance: Ultimately we recognise the importance of our partners and want to enrich their lives during their time with us. If anyone ever came to us desperate we would do everything in our power to ensure if they ever leave they are in a far more comfortable place.

At myCarson, we deeply care about our partners and in turn, they care passionately about our customers and provide an incredible service.
