Reuben — thanks for the thoughtful response. For sure, remote working has its challenges, and in my experience, the opportunities far outweigh the risks.
The opportunities you mention are reduced for sure, and there is certainly an element of simplicity which is eroded. However, how many times in which those situations arise is the person making the request interrupting the flow of the person working? Remote working, in my experience, and I appreciate this isn’t the case for everyone, completely changes that dynamic, which for me is massively exciting. Distraction and wasted time are actually significantly reduced.
Transience between both modes is likely in my opinion, I completely agree. Companies are 100% moving towards realizing that having their own offices is a vanity project that leads to insane overheads.
