This article deserves far more love. The implications of AR are huge — AR will dominate for years before VR is anywhere near a level to compete. AR has the potential to transform the world we live in with very little intervention.

To me this is fascinating.

Imagine every coffee cup you see through AR spectacles transforming the brand to Starbucks. AR will revolutionise consumer advertising like nothing before it. AR headsets being provided for free if the user agrees to be advertised to like the above and data to be captured while they are wearing it.

It reminds me of the short story by Ted Chiang, liking what you see. It has the potential to alter human perception by making it customisable to an individual's personal taste. Think Instagrams filters applied to the world around you to ‘beautify’ the world you see.
